Battlefield 1

We’ve got to admit it. Committing to World War 1 as the foundation of our next Battlefield was daunting. But, convinced of its huge potential, heading into uncharted territory to portray the dawn of all-out war was a true thrill.

Battlefield 1 was not only a chance to explore an unexplored setting, we also wanted to challenge the preconceptions of what the Great War was. Though muddy trenches were part of it, so were cavalry, experimental military hardware, and vast, open battlefields.

A record-setting reveal trailer and a grand launch later, the initial uncertainty was gone. Battlefield 1 launched with all-new multiplayer inventions like Operations and the anthology-like single-player War Stories.
