Mirror’s Edge

(2008)

Mirror’s Edge is a brave new IP set in a not too distant future where all information is heavily monitored.  The removal of freedom of speech calls for agile couriers called Runners, who transport sensitive data away from prying eyes. In this dystopian setting, you play the Runner Faith – one of the most iconic characters to spring from DICE’s studio in Stockholm.

Inspired by parkour, Mirror’s Edge is a unique action-adventure with a focus on skillfully navigating the environment from a first person view. The stylized palette with its bold red and white art style starkly contrasts with the bleakness of a world that has turned into a totalitarian state. Exploring the themes of freedom, loyalty, and the strength of family bonds, Mirror’s Edge is a rare emotional gem with a strong following awaiting the rebirth of Faith.

Game critics around the world have recognized Mirror’s Edge for its uniqueness and bestowed it with several prestigious awards, including Action Game of the Year from the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, GamesCom 2008 Best Xbox 360 Game, GamePro Best of E3 2008, GameTrailers.com Best of E3 2008, and the Game Critics Awards: Best Original Game at E3 2008.
